So what is involved?

1. Continue to look over this website to familiarise yourself with the terms of service, fee structure, and the privacy policy.

2. Make contact with Ian Benjamin Psychology, such as by phone or email, for a preliminary discussion about how your needs can be supported.

3. If you are seeking a Medicare rebate or to be bulk-billed, please see your GP and arrange for your referral to be sent to Ian Benjamin Psychology.

4. After you have expressed that you are sure you want to go ahead with support, Ian Benjamin Psychology will email you both a Client Registration form and an Informed Consent form for you to complete and submit. These forms will allow Ian Benjamin Psychology to collect, store, and use relevant personal information in order to best support you, and to ensure you are aware of and agreeable to the terms of service involved with Ian Benjamin Psychology.
Therefore, providing your email and best contact number to process your request for support will be required.

5. Once Ian Benjamin Psychology has both these forms, and your GP referral if you are a Medicare consumer, you will be contacted to make your first appointment.

6. If you are seeking support through either the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme or CTP Insurance Scheme, please ensure you have discussed your circumstances with relevant third-parties (e.g. employer, insurer, GP). Typically, a Certificate of Capacity from your GP and a claim number will be required.

7. If you are an NDIS participant (self-managed or plan-managed), you can receive non-clinical psychosocial supports, such as through the "Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living" NDIS support program. Please ensure you have the funding capacity, and discuss your goals with any relevant NDIS support or plan manager (if applicable). A service agreement will be suggested to clarify your goals.

8. At your first appointment, you can expect to discuss your current and past presenting concerns and relevant issues about your over-all story. After collaboratively discussing your concerns and goals initially, you can expect to work on strategies to improve your well-being, such as any challenges with moods and/or functioning.

Please note that after you have made your initial arrangements with Ian Benjamin Psychology you can make bookings for services via the "Making an Appointment" link on this website or by contacting Ian Benjamin Psychology directly.
