1 - Appointments are 50 minutes, unless otherwise stated.
2 - For private fee-paying consumers and non bulk-billed consumers, you will be invoiced by email which will include an embedded online payment option (accepting Mastercard or Visa card) after each appointment. Ian Benjamin Psychology will not request, store, or use your debit/credit card information if you use these e-invoices to make your payments.
Please Note: For online payments, additional transaction fees will apply.
For consumers without an email, other arrangements can be discussed. Please note that that invoices for online payments, including relevant transaction fees, also apply to non-attendance and late-cancellation fees; your consent to allow Ian Benjamin Psychology to invoice you for these fees will be required before commencing support. Please be aware that debt recovery action may be taken in the event of late payments or non-payments. If you have any questions, please contact Ian Benjamin Psychology.
3 - For non-concessionally eligible Medicare consumers, you may claim the rebate amount from Services Australia using your receipt that Ian Benjamin Psychology will email you after full payment has been received. For concessionally eligible Medicare and DVA consumers, you may authorise Ian Benjamin Psychology to bulk-bill Medicare - no gap fee!
4 - Please be aware standard consultation fees (excluding SIRA/NDIS/DVA and Medicare bulk-billed consumers) will increase on July 1, 2025 to $130 per session (excluding transaction fees for online payments) to reflect increases in CPI and administrative costs. This fee increase will apply to non-attendance and late-cancellation fees. Medicare rebates are typically indexed (increased) each year on July 1.
5 - Initial SIRA appointment fee is prescribed at $271.60 an hour. SIRA fees may be charged per 30-minute pro-rata equivalent, up to one hour per day. Your insurer will be invoiced for these fees at the end of treatment.
Please note that both an approval letter from your insurer and a referral letter/Certificate of Capacity from your GP must be received by Ian Benjamin Psychology.
Remember - you are encouraged to apply therapeutic strategies between appointments to build skills and confidence. Respectful feedback and questions are always welcome.
